Wines from Brazil have been recognized by enologists and connoisseurs from all over the world as a result of the Brazilian grape and wine growing evolution. The hundreds of awards received in international competitions confirm the Brazilian position as a producer of wine with international quality. Aiming to place in the market young wines with characteristics that comply with the international trends, Brazil is now among the main producers of the drink in the New World.
This recognition abroad has directly reflected on the value of the product in the domestic market, in addition to the increase in the exports of the drink to countries of North America and Europe. With this, the volume of the wine and sparkling wine production in the country has been growing considerably over the last years.
The opening of the market, to both the exports and imports, meets the great interest for the consumption of wine in the country.
To promote and extend the knowledge and appreciation of excellent wines, the Brazilian Association of Enology is promoting the 6th INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION. After its success in 2008 and, 2010 with the participation of wine companies from 15 countries, the Brazilian Association of Enology is getting ready to hold a more representative and global competition.
The International Wine Competition is an excellent opportunity to promote the wines presented, in addition to foster the professional and technological interchange. The exchange of experience is the main motivation of the event, which will be accredited by world renowned experts.
